Geoffrey Mehl has worked professionally in media since the age of 16, but the bug for writing bit in early childhood and has never diminished.
His career began as a reporter in suburban Chicago and has included stints as a sports editor, copy editor, city editor and managing editor of daily newspapers in the Midwest and East Coast. Along the way, he’s worked as a professional sports photographer, photo editor and graphic designer. In more recent years, he’s been an executive in marketing and public relations for a regional healthcare system and a mid-sized public university.
He is the author of five books, including three best-selling landscaping books and two thrillers: Stray Cats and Nine Lives.
Avocationally, he is an environmental advocate, avid gardener, cooking and baking enthusiast, and a marginally-successful household do-it-yourselfer. He enjoys well-crafted fiction, thought-provoking movies, and music that is best described as eclectic, but definitely not pop/rock.
